Our loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Robert Jean Rushton Jr. peacefully passed away on June 27, 2023 at 89 years of age. He was born on June 6, 1934 to Robert and Marjorie Rushton in Ogden, Utah. He married his high school sweetheart, Joyce Waddoups on February 18, 1955 in the Salt Lake Temple. Their eternal love for each other was a beautiful example to those who knew them. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and bowling. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a deep testimony of our Savior, Jesus Christ. His devotion to the Savior was evident as he loved and served those around him. He served many years as a Bishop, High counselor, and later as a member of the Stake Presidency. He was a mentor and friend to everyone. He was an example of faith and service. Bob is survived by his children, Joy (Kent) Beyer, Kelly (Debbie) Rushton, Clay (Sheryl) Rushton, Sharrie (Mike) Carn and 17 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his wife Joyce, his parents, his sister Marion Jensen, his mother and father-in-law and one great granddaughter.
