Roger Howard Ahrens passed away on September 21, 2026, at home in West Jordan, peacefully in his sleep. He was 87.

Roger was born on June 26, 1939, in Shelby, Montana. He lived a long life and will be remembered with love by those who knew him.

He is survived by Tina Hoyt (Clark Hoyt) Tonya Ahrens (Casey) Jeff Ahrens (Joseph Koltis)  Grandchildren Mackenzie, Baylee, Karson, Boe, Jaden and Great Grandchildren Brodin, Mia. May they find comfort in their memories of Roger and in the love they shared with him.

Roger was preceded in death by his beloved wife Denese Ahrens, now united forever; his father, Wayne Ahrens; his mother, Jessie Ahrens; His siblings Ray Ahrens, Robert Ahrens, Genevieve Olsen Hal (Olsen) and son Brian Holdiway (Tina).

Roger had a quick wit that no one could beat. Roger enjoyed the most simple things in life such as fresh air and sunshine, family dinners, family reunions in both Lewiston and Flaming George and of course his trips to Wendover.  

Roger’s life was a meaningful one, and his memory will remain in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
