Roger Cecil Dudley, age 83, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2025, in Magna, Utah. He was born on February 6, 1942, in Gooding, Idaho, to Cecil and Zelma Dudley.

Roger proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a Fire Arm Assembler, a role in which he took great pride. On December 28, 1974, he married the love of his life, Virginia Ann Dudley. Together they built a life grounded in love, commitment, and family.

An outdoorsman at heart, Roger found his greatest joys in camping, hunting, and fishing—pastimes that reflected his deep appreciation for nature and quiet moments. He was known for his steady presence, his strength of character, and his unwavering devotion to his family.

Roger is survived by his daughter, Sophia Kaighn; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Virginia Ann Dudley; his parents, Cecil and Zelma Dudley; his daughter, Marcella Daniels; and his son, Robert Salyers.

Funeral services to honor and remember Roger’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah, 84123.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
