Roland Olsen Colt, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully May 5, 2012. Born September 7, 1924 in Harbor City, California to George S. Colt and Amanda L. Olsen. Married L. Rae Healey December 10, 1946 in Salt Lake City. Raised in Salt Lake City, Roland graduated from East High School and the University of Utah. He served honorably in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean conflict. Roland's career was in sales, also making people and humor his business, but golf was his passion.

Survived by his wife, Rae; daughters, Suzanne (Scott) Palmer and Kathleen (Mike) Fenton; son, John (Debbie) Colt; son-in-law, Doug Boulton; 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; and sister, Virginia (Lloyd) Prestwich. Preceded in death by daughter, Connie Boulton; grandson, Zachary Boulton; brothers, George and Ben; and sister, Lois Clark.

The family expresses sincere thanks and gratitude to all at the Salt Lake VA Hospital and the Utah State Veteran's Nursing Home for their compassionate and loving care.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday May 9, 2012 at 11:00am at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, where friends may visit with the family from 9:30am to 10:45am prior to the services.
