Ronald T. Wood

Jul 28, 1930 — Jun 5, 2016

Ronald T. Wood aka R.T. aka The Ronster aka Gramps, passed away peacefully on 5 June 2016.  He was 85 years old.  In his early years, Ron was involved in land use and municipal development planning as a contractor and surveyor and later envisaged and helped develop the use of ariel photographic imaging technology to aid in land use and municipal development planning.  Later in his life, Ron became terrific advocate of financial planning and as a financial counselor helped many clients achieve their financial goals.  Ron married Helen Hansen and together they had three children, Kevin, Jeff and Laurie.  His three grandchildren, Casey, Dylan and Trevor adored him and he them.  They enjoyed his unique mannerisms, sense of humor, adventurous spirit and ability to make them laugh.  Ron was a passionate citizen of the United States and devoted fan of the Utah Jazz, but his sports team was always the Utes (…though from time-to-time he would support the Aggies and, only when desperate, the Cougars).   Ron enjoyed cooking, gardening, walking and leaving his T.V. on the Fox News Channel.   The family wishes to thank Brookdale and Brighton Hospice staff for the support and care Ron received over the past few years. With a special thanks to Bonnie for her care and compassion the last years of his life. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 11:00am at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.  Enter at 1750 East 3300 South.
