Rosemary lived across the U.S. during her husband’s military service. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, and reading. Rosemary will be fondly remembered for her sweet and gentle demeanor, her kindness, and her positive outlook on life. Her gift-giving was always very thoughtful and intentional, and she was always appreciative and grateful for the little things people did for her. Being around her was always joyful and time spent with her was treasured. Rosemary was good about staying in touch with her family. She had close relationships with all of her grandchildren whom she video-chatted with regularly. Spirituality and healing energy were very important to her. Her lifelong mantra was “normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are.”
Rosemary is survived by her sons, William (Holly) Gordon, and Randall (Van, deceased) Gordon, and her furry cat companion of 19 years, Adonis. She is preceded in death by her husband, William H. Gordon, retired Captain of the U.S. Marine Corps.
Rosemary was lovingly called “Nanny” by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were her greatest joy. Matthew (Bell), Kenneth, Brianna (deceased), and William (Kristina), who blessed her with two beautiful great-granddaughters, Jade Florentina Rose and Everly Pearl. She will be greatly missed by her daughter-in-law, Diana Young, with whom she had a special relationship. Rosemary was preceded in death by her siblings, George, Virginia, Russell, Kathleen, Clyde, and Billie, with whom she was especially close, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Of her lifelong friends, she was preceded by Barbara Wiles, and survived by Ty Blake.
