Ruth Ann Aylworth

March 18, 1944 — October 7, 2022

Ruth Ann Hadley Aylworth, 78, of Taylorsville. returned to her loving Heavenly Father on 10/07/2022.
She was born on March 18, 1944 in Ogden, Utah, a daughter of Rich Francis and Eunice Judkins Hadley. She was the oldest of six children.
She attended North Ogden Elementary, Wahlquist Jr. High, Weber High, BYU and Weber State College where she studied Cosmetology.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many callings including as a missionary in the Andes Mission in South America.
She married Alvaro Valcarcel and they were later divorced. On February 14, 1978 she married Michael Lowell Aylworth in Ogden, Utah. They were later sealed in the
Salt Lake Temple.
Ruth and Mike served as Church Service Missionaries at the Utah State Prison. She also loved researching family names and doing the work for them in the Temple.
from which she retired.
Ruth loved to draw and paint. She had a good memory for people’s names and made many friends.
Ruth is survived by her sisters, Carolyn Swallow of Syracuse, Janet (Ralph) Butler of North Ogden and Carma (John) Morgan of West Jordan; brothers, Alan (Sandy) Hadley of Pleasant View and Calvin (Diana) Hadlev : step-children, Elaine (David) Treber of Washington, Monica Aylworth-Trippy of Texas, and Jared Aylworth of Texas; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Michael L. Alyworth, a brother-in-law John Swallow; Three nephews Roger Butler, Blake Arave, Colton Berrett and 2 nieces Jennifer Hulse and Siera Hadley.
At the time of her death she was living at Legacy House of Taylorsville. The family would like to thank all those who cared for her, especially Inspiration Home Care Service as well as loving ward members and leaders of the West Brook 11th branch.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at the Memorial Holladay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 South Highland Drive, a. viewing will be held one hour prior to the services at the mortuary. Interment will follow the services at Elysian Burial Gardens at 1075 East 4580 South, Millcreek, Utah.
