Ryan was born on April 29, 1972. He passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, surrounded by family, from complications from a brain aneurysm.

Ryan is survived by his wife whom he adored, Ashley McPhie; and 3 beautiful daughters, Gracie, Anna, and Mallie; parents, Brian Jensen and Patricia Lee Anderson McPhie; siblings, Jason McPhie (Stephanie), Tyler McPhie (Divina), Crystal McPhie; many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, in-laws, friends, and business acquaintances who loved and respected him.

Ryan was always active and passionate about everything he was involved with. In Jr. High and High School, he enjoyed ballroom dancing, wrestling, track, cheerleading, school band, piano, and scouting. After graduating High School he went to the University of Utah where he studied business, and was on the cheerleading team. He faithfully served an LDS Mission to Columbus, Ohio from 1991 to 1993.

Ryan enjoyed breeding snakes, working out, watching movies, vacationing, and being with his four girls.

Ryan was a general contractor, and was very talented and skilled in all trades. He spent time through the years helping his father with his carpet cleaning business.

Two years ago, he met his dream girl. Together they lived life to the fullest, traveling the world, raising the girls, and falling deeply in love. On August 4, 2016, they were married.

Our lives will never be the same. Ryan was the kindest man with the biggest heart. He gave the best hugs. He accepted everyone for who they were and helped people feel a greater sense of self-worth. He had the most beautiful eyes and a radiant smile. He was silly and playful and always tried to be happy. He was an amazing father and completely devoted to his wife.

Ryan had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ, and was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. At the end of his life he reminded us to be charitable.  Ryan was an organ donor and through his charity many people have received a new chance at life.

Thank you Ryan for blessing our lives, you will be forever missed.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 11:00am at the Park Ward, 1125 North 400 West, Centerville, where friends and family are invited to visit Wednesday evening 6:00-8:00pm and Thursday morning 9:30-10:30am prior to the funeral.
