S. Elvon Warner

S. ElVon Warner, beloved husband, father, grandfather, passed away on his birthday, December 15th, at age 79.

ElVon's life was full of love and devotion to his wife and family and always put his family before his own needs. He married the woman of his dreams, Carol in 1958.  He was a loving father of his two children, Shauna (Lynn) Paul, and Sherm (Margarita) Warner; grandfather of three granddaughters, Tiana, Cecilia (Daryl), and Tanisha and one grandson Jamie; great grandfather of Zaden and Trinity.  ElVon Warner, known as Bishop Warner to many, served faithfully in the LDS church.  He was a world traveler and loved his many travels to Africa and other parts of the world. He also obtained his B.S. and M.S. degrees from BYU as well as his doctorate in business education from Arizona State University.  He spent 30 years of his life teaching business education at BYU and the University of Northern Iowa as well as taking two overseas assignments to Saudi Arabia and Ethiopia.  While he taught at UNI he started SE Warner Software and continued running his own business until he retired.  He truly lived an inspirational life and blessed the lives of many.

A viewing will be held Saturday, December 20, 2014 at the LDS Parkway 3rd Ward chapel located at 10200 S. 3200 W., South Jordan, Utah 84095 from 9:00 am to 10:00am and will be followed by a funeral service at 10:30 am.  Burial will follow the service at the Provo Cemetery. Services under the care of Holbrook Mortuary.
