Samuel R. Romero

July 22, 1933 — December 14, 2022

Dad loved playing the guitar and was in a band in his younger years. He especially loved playing guitar with his oldest Son and it was always a special treat for everyone during holidays and special family occasions. He loved having coffee and good conversation with brothers, sisters and friends. He was an avid fisherman and loved teaching his kids how to fish as well. He was a great mechanic and handyman and always did little projects around the house.
He worked for Grand Central/Fred Meyer as a Receiving Clerk. After he retired, he decided to work part time to keep busy for Jordan Valley Hospital in Housekeeping.
Dad loved his children and his entire family with his whole heart. Especially his precious wife, Nara, whom his love for her was unmeasurable. His grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren were his pride and joy.
Giovanni brought so much happiness to his Great Grandpa. No matter what, Gio would always run to him and greet him with  “Well, well, well. What do we have here?” That stayed with Dad and brought him so much love and laughter whenever he heard it.
Even though Dad didn’t want to leave us, his heart ached for Mom and was still so lonely without her.
He loved gathering with family and having prayer meetings.
He recently started reading the Bible and we found this on his dresser.

(Psalms 130:4)
“I bless, release and forgive myself for unkind deeds or thought I have put forth.
I bless, release and forgive all others.
I am blessed, released and forgiven. “

Thank you to everyone who was a part of Dad’s life. A special thanks to Aminta Maldonado for her support and friendship and friend Romy Diaz.
Ken and Pat Cote brought him out of his shyness in being in crowds.
Thank you to Pastor Marie, Pastor Dennis, Pastor Luis and Victory Outreach Church for their prayers and kindness to all of us during this time.
