Sarlet Sanchez

Sharlet Marie Sanchez, 56, of Salt Lake City, Utah, went home to be with the Lord on September 10, 2025. She passed away peacefully as her family worshiped the Lord beside her.

Born to Fransisco and Judith Sanchez, Sharlet lived a life marked by unwavering faith, generosity, and joy. She worked as a supervisor serving individuals with special needs, where she was admired for her compassion, leadership, and dedication to helping others thrive. Yet her true calling was sharing God’s love.

A devoted evangelist, she passionately led souls to Christ, taught in the women’s jail ministry, and founded The House of Love, a nonprofit dedicated to providing a safe place for those in need. Her home was a refuge for family and friends, always open to those who needed comfort or shelter.

Sharlet loved playing rummy, reading books and the Bible, and even showing off her pop-locking dance moves. A prayer warrior and strong woman of faith, she attended The Door Christian Church and inspired many with her unshakable devotion to Jesus. Her greatest joys were spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her two beloved dogs, Sophie and Ruby.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Judith Sanchez; brothers Fransisco, Kenneth, and Brian Sanchez; and stepsons Joseph Montoya and Rocky Alfie Montoya.

She is survived by her father, Fransisco Sanchez (Beverly Sanchez); brother Jeffery Lynn Sanchez; stepdaughter Angela Montoya; daughters Christina Villarreal, Gina (Frank) Montoya, and Amber (Vincent) Montoya; son Frankie Sanchez; granddaughters Desemae Dawn Sanchez and Laylah Nevae Lawler; many other cherished grandchildren; andnumerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved her deeply.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 6:00–9:00 p.m. A church service will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., with burial to follow. All services will be held at Memorial Murray Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East, Murray, Utah. Interment following services at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.

A dinner will follow the service, and all are welcome to join the family in fellowship and remembrance.

Sharlet’s life was a testimony of faith, love, and service. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and devotion that will continue to touch lives for generations to come.
