Scott David Godfrey

September 11, 1969 — October 30, 2022

Scott David Godfrey, age 53, died on October 30th, 2022, in West Valley City, UT. He was born on September 11th, 1969 in Salt Lake City, UT to Veron & Karma Godfrey.
Since his early days, Scott was very skillful and received his Eagle Scout and continued to use his resourcefulness and talents to further hone his skills in his maintenance trade for over 20 years. Outside of work, he was a major sports fan and loved the Kansas City Chiefs, NY Yankees, Utah Jazz, Utes, and LA Kings. He also enjoyed watching and playing golf. He attended many NASCAR races when he could and would watch from the comfort of his couch any other time.
Scott enjoyed the outdoors and would go camping, hunting, or fishing with friends and family. He enjoyed playing horseshoes and even had a pit in his backyard. Scott was incredibly meticulous about his lawncare. His lawn and flowers were his pride and joy, and anyone driving by could probably catch him watering his plants or mowing the lawn.
Scott was an amazing cook and grill master. He enjoyed cooking for anyone and everyone with a breakfast that could rival the best restaurants. No one would leave the house with an empty stomach whenever he cooked. Not only did he love food, but he was also a whiskey connoisseur and regularly had a whiskey with Pepsi.
Scott was a great friend to everyone he met. He always had a smile on his face and was friendly and kind. His home was open to everyone, and he’d happily go out of his way to help a friend or neighbor out. Not only was he a great person to those around him but to animals too. Scott had many different pets throughout his life. You could find dogs, cats, fish, and even a gecko in the house. A Golden Lab, Dexter, was his companion and best friend for many years.
He is survived by his father, Veron Godfrey, and many other loved ones.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Karma Godfrey and his dog, Dexter.
