Scott Ernest Marti born January 24, 1955 passed away on October 6, 2022 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The son of Harold Ashton Marti and Bonnie Cardwell, Scott grew up in the Cottonwood area with his siblings Jeff, Kim, Mark, Brad and Amy. He attended Cottonwood High School then joined the Army in 1972, serving as a tank mechanic in Germany until 1975 and receiving a National Defense Service Medal Marksman M-16 Award. He was so proud of his service, especially in his later years. In 1976 he married Jayme Mast and had his two sons, following in his father’s footsteps making a career out of painting and mechanics at Kenworth and Peterbilt of Utah. For many years he lived in Old town Magna then Las Vegas and is survived by his wife Charlotte King, his two sons Zachary Marti and Thaddius Marti, one step son Robert King and six grandchildren. Scott loved to play and watch golf. He had good luck and always “Came out smelling like a rose.” Services will be held Thursday, November 10th 2022, 12:30 pm at the Utah Veterans Cemetery 17111 South Camp Williams Rd.
