Sharon Lee Huff, wife, mother and “Avenger Gram” passed away peacefully with family by her side, on February 5, 2023 in Cedar Hills, Utah. She was 84 years old. Sharon was born on June 20, 1938 to Mildred Marie Anderson and Rupert LaVon Althouse.
Sharon attended Springville High School graduating in 1956. She then went on to earn a B.S. in Nursing from Brigham Young University in 1960. She then completed her M.S. in Nursing from the University of Utah in 1967. She worked as a nurse in various capacities from 1960 until she retired in 1997.
Sharon married Lewis Wayne Huff on July 17th 1966, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They have one daughter Jenifer (Michael) Atkin, two grandsons, Jeromy Michael (Leslee) Atkin, and Benjamin Wayne Atkin. Sharon loved reading, doing porcelain pieces, for which she won many awards over the years at the Utah State Fair. She also enjoyed doing puzzles, gardening, making quilts, and sewing in general. She enjoyed traveling with her family, and spoiling them at any opportunity. When you ate out with Sharon, you rarely paid the bill. Every Christmas season was started with her famous Christmas candy. Friends and neighbors waited all year long for their plate. Sharon was active in the LDS Church and served in a variety of callings throughout her life. She and Wayne served a two year service mission for LDS Family Services.
She is preceded in death by her eternal sweetheart, her parents, a twin sister, brother, and son in law. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Charleston Assisted Living and At Healthcare and Hospice for their loving care given in Sharons last days.
Funeral services will be held Saturday February 25th with a viewing from 10:00 am to 11:30 am, funeral will start at 12:00 pm at the LDS Chapel located at 127 East 3200 North in Lehi Utah. Interment at Springville Evergreen Cemetery.Service Information
