Sharon Renee Simonson, age 85 died on May 29, 2023 in Millcreek Utah. She was born June 15, 1937 in Saint Anthony, Idaho to Devere Barker and Lula Mae Abegglen.
She married Dennis Christensen and they later divorced. She married Gayle Simonson on November 20, 1979.
Sharon worked for the state of Utah for many years. She enjoyed bowling, her Dodgers and the Jazz. She graduated from West High School. She loved her cats and enjoyed trips to Wendover.
Surviving, Sharon is her husband, Gayle; son, Richard, and stepdaughter’s, Deb and Holly; grandchildren: Damon (Krystle), A.J. (Scott), Justin (Kari), Amber (Corey); brother, Layne (Claudia) Slack; sisters, Deborah Ricord and Diana Hansen; nine great-grand children; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and sister Deloris
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 5, 2023, at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan. A time for visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 AMuntil the time of the graveside service.Service Information
