Sherri Lynn Allison Jacobs

Sherri Lynn Allison Jacobs passed away peacefully in her home on April 6, 2023 in West Jordan, Utah. Sherri was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on March 10, 1952 to Ina Marie Salo and Lorenzo B. Allison. She was the youngest of Three children and married to Delane Jacobs.
Sherri grew up in the sugar house area of Salt Lake City and was a 1970 graduate of Granite High School. Sherri became employed with the State of Utah Tax Commision where she met DeLane Jacobs and both were later married in 1973. Sherri was later employed with Turn Community Services where she found a passion in the field of social work, assisting individuals with disabilities. She loved everyone who she had the opportunity to help.
Sherri enjoyed many things including finding new music to listen to and especially loved Bluegrass/folk music. She loved putting puzzles together, camping with family, Movies, her dog, Autumn and trying new food. She enjoyed Saturday lunches with family.
Sherri is survived by her Daughter, Erin Filliat (Michael), her Grandchildren whom she cherished, Benjamin and Katelyn Filliat, her Son, Dylan Jacobs, (Jody) and her sister Pamela Crowther, who liked stealing hamburgers from her as a child.
Sherri was preceded in death by her parents Ina Marie Salo and Lorenzo B Allison, Brother Ronald Allison, and husband DeLane Jacobs.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Elevation Hospice for their kindness and care.
A Memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery. A friends and family may begin gathering and sharing memories at 2:00 PM
