Shirley May Anderson

Shirley May Anderson died on May 8, 2024, in Herriman, Utah at the age of 90. She was born in Inglewood, California on July 23, 1933, to Edward Charles Roberts and Caryl Rosa Hammerschmidt. She met and married the love of her life Thomas Eugene Anderson on March 31, 1961.

A loyal, loving, fierce and tenacious woman, Shirley was a devoted helpmate and companion to Thomas. She was an awesome homemaker and devoted defender of her children. She was an accomplished organist playing for more than 40 years. She beamed with joy when on October 4, 2010 she had the privilege to play the Historic Tabernacle Organ at Temple Square.

Surviving Shirley are her four children: David (Megan) Anderson, Raymond (Becky) Anderson Patricia (Zackary) Arnold, And Cheryl Anderson Porter. She is also Survived by 21 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Eugene Anderson and her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday May 21st, 7:00pm and viewing 6:00pm at the LDS church at 5623 W Mirabella Dr, Herriman Utah, 84096. Interment will be held on May 22nd at 11:00am at Utah Veterans Memorial Park Cemetery, 11711 South 1700 West, Bluffdale, Utah 84065.
