Shirley Peirce Richardson

Shirley Peirce Richardson was born July 30, 1925 to Mary Eliza Salsbury Cooper & Harvey Adolph Peirce in Salt Lake City, UT. She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family of natural causes on March 20, 2016.

Shirley married Lewis Dee Richardson in the Salt Lake Temple on June 17, 1948. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was always happy and kindhearted. Her greatest gift was adopting her four children and time spent with her family. She loved being a homemaker. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved all animals and had a great love for music.

She is survived by her children, Paul (Lezlie) Richardson, Lori Hammond, Carolyn (Bob) Wold, David (Dena) Richardson; grandchildren, Burgan, Erica, Danielle, Sydney, Mason, Grae, Coen; and great-grandchildren, Marley and Lauren. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Dee Richardson.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 25, 2016 at 11:00 am at the East Mill Creek 9th Ward, 3750 South Hillside Lane (2600 E). Friends and family are invited to visit Thursday evening 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, and at the church and Friday morning 9:30 – 10:30 am prior to the service.
