Stanley Dale Billings

October 7, 1955 — April 21, 2023

“Stan the Man”
Stanley Billings of SLC, Utah passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023 at the age of 67. Born October 7, 1955 in Vernal Utah to Glen A. Billings and Betty Joy Campbell Billings. He married his love, Leslie and they shared two daughters. Though later divorced, the two remained friends throughout the years.
Our sweet Dad was embraced in heaven with open arms; made whole and free from his trials. Dad suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury following a tragic motorcycle accident in 1985. He beat the odds after awakening from a coma and showing all what a fighter he was. Through years of rehabilitation, he re-learned all life skills; not only to walk and talk, but to function on a daily basis.
A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he attended faithfully, as his body would allow. He was able to attend the temple and receive his endowments, something that was always important to him.
Through the years of trauma, Dad never complained about his disabilities, always finding a way around them. He was a light. He was best known for his jokes. Despite the short-term memory, he had an unexplainable ability to remember every joke heard. He made friends everywhere he went and made everyone laugh.
He survived by his 2 daughters Stacie Halladay and Lindsay (Carl) Nelson. 5 Grandchildren: Caitlin (Ben), Lucas, Amelia, Addison and Peyton. He was a proud Dad and Grandpa and talked about his family often. Also survived by 3 siblings: Glena Cooley, Kimberly Billings (Doug Gould) and Randall Billings. 9 nieces and nephews, as well as many extended family members.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Betty Billings and Glen Billings. Grandparents Eldon and Dezzie Billings, cousin and riding buddy, Chris Billings, brother-in-law, Douglas Cooley.
We wish to thank all of the staff at Pointe Meadows for their tireless and loving care. A very special thank you to Shelley and Kris with ElderCare Consult for their loving, attentive care and concern for Dad over the last 9 years.
