Our loving father, grandfather and friend, Stellman "Dee" Lomax, passed away October 13, 2012 at a local hospital surrounded by his family. Born July 9, 1920 in Nephi, Utah, the son of Robert and Eliza Crawley Lomax.
Dee married Thelma J. Bradford on January 31, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together they raised four children. During World War II Dad served in the U S Army and was stationed in General McArthur's headquarters as a secretary. He loved his country and was proud to be an American. He lived most of his life in the home that he built with his own hands. He was a hard worker and provided well for his family.
Survived by children Al Lomax (Sue), Janet Haskins, Cindy Cox (John), Becky Myers and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday October 18th, 11:00am, at the East Millcreek 11th Ward, 2702 East Evergreen Ave (3435 South). Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, and at the church on Thursday morning from 9:30am to 10:30am prior to services. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. On line memories and tributes about Dee can be given to the family at www.holbrookmortuary.
