Steven Kelly Fotheringham passed away Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015 ending a long, courageous battle with colon cancer. Steve was born April 9, 1956 to loving parents, T. Stephen and Darla Memmott Fotheringham.
As a boy Steve loved little-league baseball, football, and skiing. In his teens he enjoyed many friends and a good party. After graduation from Olympus High School he joined the U.S. Navy where he served as a Medical Corpsman.
Steve is the oldest of 8 siblings leading the way into mischief, adventure, and now into the hereafter. He is loved by many nieces and nephews who thought him both cool and mysterious.
He is survived by his parents, brothers, Mark (Laura), Rob (Linda), Mike, Paul (Lisa), and sisters, Katie (Dave) Gurney, Amy (Duff) Rich, and Liz (Matt) Deane.
We wish to thank his many caregivers at the VA Hospital, Mt. Olympus Rehab, and Encompass Hospice. They all treated him with kindness, dignity, and great skill over the past 8 years.
Private family services will be held at 11:00am on Friday February 13, 2015 at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel, 17111 South Camp Williams Road (aka Redwood Road). Interment with honor guard following service. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East.
