Steven passed away peacefully on June 27, 2025, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born on June 10, 1957, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Frank H. and Alice B. (Brewsterwhite) Miller.
Steve joined TURN Community Services in 1995, where he received supported living services until he moved to a care center in July 2022 due to health issues. While with TURN, Steve went on various vacations and attended lots of parties, and River Trips, his favorite being Cataract Canyon. Steve went to Denver, up the Pacific Coast from Los Angeles to Seattle, Washington, and back on Amtrax. He was also able to go to Las Vegas to visit a friend who is a train engineer for Union Pacific to see the inside of a train engine. His favorite part of that trip was getting a reverser key for the train.
Steve worked at Rider Plastics for over 42 years. He enjoyed going to work and showing his residential staff items that they were making. He made many friends there over the years. His best friend/supervisor is Colby Rider. Whom Steve stayed in contact with even after his retirement.
Steve enjoyed collecting and building train sets, playing cards, ice-cold Pepsi, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. As well as the Steve Miller Band.
Steve is survived by his sister Shirley Wirthlin (Val), and Many Nieces and Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Janice, and Bonnie and Bother Bill.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to services from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary at the same address
