Steven Don Schofield

October 18, 1967 — August 7, 2013

Steven Don Schofield 45 resident of Cottonwood Heights returned to his Heavenly Father Wednesday August 7, 2013 at his home surrounded by his wife and children.

Steve was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 18, 1967 son of Don B. Schofield and Veda Schofield. He graduated from Brighton High School in 1986 followed by an LDS mission to Raleigh, North Carolina. Steve was married to Becky Baxter on September 11, 1989 in the Salt Lake Temple, together they have 4 children Sara (22), Brenton (17), Shawn (15) and Bonnie (11). Steve was especially known by many children because of his calling in the Butler 11th ward as a nursery leader. He loved his calling and was able to enjoy the 4 years he spent there.

Steve's interest included music, photography, fishing, cooking, and landscaping. He also enjoyed varieties of art from simple drawings to the most complex sculptures. Steve's profession was pattern making, opening his own business "Schofield Pattern" and later on "5D pattern". He loved the variety of the work he was able to do and took pride in every job he was given. He strived to build strong relationships with all of his customers, taking customers challenges as his own doing anything to help them succeed. Most of all he loved spending time with his family going on vacations to California, and annual trips to Southern Utah.

Steve is survived by his loving wife Becky, his sons Brenton and Shawn, his daughters Sara and Bonnie, his parents Don and Veda Schofield, his brother Jim Schofield , sisters Raynalyn Workman, Dawnette (Craig) Jolley, and Sandra(Cameron) Browning, and many nieces and nephews.
