Steven Sweat

Steve proudly served his country in the United States Army. After his service, he met the love of his life, Linda Kay Cox, and they were united in marriage on October 7, 1972. Together they shared 53 years of love, devotion, and partnership while building a beautiful family together.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who found joy in life’s simple blessings — hunting, fishing, gardening, and most of all, spending time with his family.

Together they were blessed with seven amazing children. Surviving children include: Bryan, Trenton, Rhonda, and RaNae.

He was the proud grandfather of 22 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three beloved children: Rhea, Raymond, and Clifford.

His strength, kindness, wisdom, and love for family will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
