Susie Ann Maestas-Pereza passed away peacefully on July 20th, 2025, at Utah Valley Hospital, surrounded by family. She was born on May 21st, 1943, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Sam B Maestas and Jennie Rodriguez.
She moved throughout the state over the years but settled down in Price, Utah. She was loved by many and adored by all she ever met. She loved having people to come visit her and would always make sure there was more than enough food ready for them. Fresh homemade tortillas, beans, powder chili, her famous smoothards, and so much more. She also loved playing kick ball out front of the house and to play her favorite game of all time, Trouble. If you didn’t win, you know why. She absolutely loved raising her 10 children. She was our mom and dad at the same time. She loved raising her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Any time someone needed a place to stay, her door was always open to them. She also loved thrift shopping, collecting porcelain dolls, roosters, and pigs. This beautiful woman will deeply be missed by all.
Susie is survived by her siblings, Manuel Maestas, Irene Guadardo-Maestas, Junior Maestas, and Mike Maestas. Her children Lernice Lopez, Dino Lucero, Gino(Nichole) Lucero, Richard Duran, Linda Lucero, Tanya Lucero, Mary Michelle Vigil, Jessie Vigil, and Jose(Melita) Lucero. All her Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren
She is preceded in death by her parents, Sam B Maestas and Jennie Rodriguez, her siblings Rita Santos, Toby Maestas, Alice Holt, Lola Blackbear, and her daughter, Turina Hullings.
