Susie (Suzanne) Lambert
June 3, 1948 — August 29, 2023
Susie (Suzanne) Lambert was warmly welcomed into this world on June 3, 1948, by her loving parents, James Rood Lambert and Edith Olivia Johnson, in Ogden, Utah. She was their third daughter.
Susie passed away August 29, 2023, at the age of 75 of multiple myeloma.
Susie grew up in Ogden, Utah, and is still close to lifelong friends she made as a child. Upon graduation from Ogden High School in 1966, she completed her degree in Nursing at Weber State College in 1971 and then received Critical Care Certification from LDS Hospital. Susie had a long and successful career as a Registered Nurse. She worked at Cottonwood Hospital in the Emergency Department for many years and also worked in Outpatient Surgery. She was a compassionate, empathetic and knowledgeable nurse. She had a fun sense of humor and made many dear friends along the way.
Susie was adventurous. She loved to travel and explored many countries. She especially enjoyed beautiful Tahiti and swimming with the massive whales. She worked as a nurse on a cruise ship traveling around the Hawaiian Islands for several months.
Susie loved kitties, especially her precious Ollie, who she loved and doted on for many years.
She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and her two sisters, Carolyn Porter and Judy Hastings.
Susie is survived by many cousins, a brother-in-law, nieces and nephews, and numerous cherished friends.
The family would like to thank Alissa, her nurse, and Shannon, her CNA from Hospice for Utah and the caregivers from Love at Home. Also, a big thank you to her special caregivers, Julee, Vyonne, niece Jennifer, and cousin Kathi.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123. A viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The service will begin at 11:30 am.
The service will be streamed on-line for those who cannot attend in person.
Interment will be at Leavitt’s Aultorest Memorial, 836 36th Street Ogden, Utah 84403.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Utah.Service Information
