Tag Robert Fowers “Taggert” is what his friends called him and his family and close loved ones called him affectionately as “Trigger” he left this world far too soon on June 16, 2026, at the age of 26. Though his time here was brief, he packed more life, laughter, and adventure into those years than many do in a lifetime.Born on June 5, 2000, in Mount Vernon, Washington, Tag grew up with a big heart, a sharp sense of humor, and an entrepreneurial spirit that seemed to come naturally. He graduated from Highland High School in Salt Lake City in 2018 and wasted no time chasing his dreams. While many people his age were still figuring things out, Tag was building businesses. He successfully created and sold a convenience store business and later teamed up with his friends Tyler and Ernie to launch and run a used car dealership.Tag loved cars—not just for the horsepower or the shine, but for the freedom, excitement, and community they brought. Whether he was talking shop, making deals, or just cruising with friends, cars were one of his greatest passions. He had an eye for opportunity, a talent for bringing people together, and a knack for making even ordinary moments feel unforgettable. And if Tag was in the room, you knew it.He was the biggest energy there. He had a magnetic personality and an infectious smile that could light up any space. He was often the loudest laugh, the first to crack a joke, and the one making sure everyone around him was having a good time. His quick wit, boundless enthusiasm, and genuine love for people drew others to him effortlessly. He didn’t just enter a room—he lit it up.Tag was passionate about everything he did. Whether he was building businesses, talking cars, gaming with friends, or dreaming about the future, he poured his whole heart into it. He wasn’t driven by success for himself alone—he wanted everyone around him to succeed with him. He believed there was enough opportunity for everyone, and he was always the first to encourage a friend, share an idea, or celebrate someone else’s win.He loved fiercely and protected the people he cared about. His family and friends knew they could always count on him to show up, stand beside them, and do whatever he could to help. Tag’s loyalty ran deep, and he made the people he loved feel safe, valued, and supported.Tag was never afraid to be himself, and that’s what people loved most about him. He was real—completely and unapologetically. He said what he thought, laughed loudly, loved deeply, and lived authentically. He wasn’t trying to impress anyone; he simply showed up as himself every day, and that honesty drew people to him. Whether you knew him for years or had just met him, Tag had a way of making you feel like you belonged.More than anything, Tag was devoted to his wife, Kayla. He was her biggest fan and wanted nothing more than to make her dreams come true. Together they were building a beautiful life and were excitedly preparing to welcome their first child. Kayla is eight weeks pregnant, and though Tag will not be here to meet his baby, his love, spirit, and legacy will live on in the child they created together.Tag is survived by his mother, Sheri Fowers; his stepfather, Allen Weggemann; his loving wife, Kayla Fowers, and their unborn child; his brother, Brooks Carter; his beloved dogs, Miss Hazel the French Bulldog, Goose his Bully-Pit and Rocky his Chiweenie; his step-half-brother, Dylan ; his stepsister, Amelia; his stepbrother, Zach; and his many incredible friends, all of whom carry his memory forward. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Eileen Shorts; his grandfather, Gary Shorts; and his stepbrother, Jacob Weggemann.A viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Memorial Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East in Murray, Utah. A graveside burial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 500 South 1300 East, Salt Lake City, Utah. The world feels a little quieter without Tag in it, but his spirit lives on—in every laugh shared among friends, every late-night gaming session, every open road, and every reminder to live life with joy and without hesitation.Tag lived with an open heart and a boundless spirit. Though he left us far too soon, his brightest light will continue to shine on through Kayla and the beautiful life they began together. We’ll miss his smile. We’ll miss his jokes. We’ll miss the way he'd hit the gas and leave behind a cloud of smoke.
