Tamara Hammond Gudmundson, passed away on May 18th, 2023, at her home in Salt Lake City, Utah, at the age of 66. Tamara was born on April 12th, 1957, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Herald and Mable Hammond.
Tamara had many career’s throughout her life, working as a delivery driver for Western Toy & Hobby a family business, waitress, construction worker, driving semi-trucks, and taking care of the elderly. She was also a regular attendee of meetings at Fellowship Hall where she also sponsored people and made many life long friends.
Tamara graduated from Horizonte in 2010 with her son Dayan. She enjoyed spending her free time outdoors. She loved boating, water skiing, camping and most of all shopping. Tamara also enjoyed decorating for holidays, going to meetings, meeting friends for coffee, and journaling. Above all, she cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren who she loved dearly and had many others who called her Mom.
Tamara is survived by her children Nathan (Shannon), Dayan (Stephanie), Aaron (Marci), David, Tere (Kade) Christopher as well as her ten grandchildren: Shyann, Summer, Tayler, Dylan, Liam, Aibhilin, Kellin, Ridge,Hunter and Duncan. She is also survived by her six sisters Nancy, Jody, Carolyn, Cary, Jerilyn, Heidi and one brother Jason.
A special thanks to all of her Healthcare workers who loved and cared for her throughout life and hospice for her final days.
Tamara was preceded in death by her loving husband Stanley, her parents Herald and Mable, sister Charlotte, nephew Chad, and her grandson Stanley Day.
A viewing will be held on May 31st, 2023, from 11 am to 1 pm at Memorial Mountain View Cemetery, located at 3115 Bengal Blvd, Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121, with a graveside service shortly after the viewing.Service Information
