Thaes Webb Jr.
March 15, 1933 — April 25, 2023
Thaes Webb, Jr. was born March 15, 1933, in Greeley, Colorado and unexpectedly passed away April 25, 2023 in Salt Lake City, Utah at the age of 90.
Thaes was a proud member of the US Navy from 1951-1955 and was stationed in Atsugi Naval Air Station in Japan during the Korean War. He was with the Naval Beach Group One (NBG-1) in Coronado, CA and Camp McGill in Japan. While in Japan, he climbed Mt. Fuji twice and made it to the top once.
Thaes married Dolores Webb in 1956. Together they raised five children and later divorced. In 1991, he married Deleene Turner Stead and they were married 31 years at the time of his death.
Thaes was proud to be a CPA and actively (and literally) practiced until his death. During his life, he owned several horses and loved riding his cutting horse “Webb’s Treasure.” Some of his other hobbies were having coffee with his Cowboy buddy’s, he was an Orchardist, Land Developer, and Restauranteur, having owned the Bridlewood, now known as Tuscany. Thaes was also a proud alumni of Westminster College.
Thaes is survived by his wife, Deleene, his children, Patty Jean Rogers, Thaes Webb, III (Kayleen), Terrilee Jackson (Jerry), Kathryn Baier (Tim), 20 Grandchildren and 25 Great Grandchildren. He is also survived by his step-children Jason Stead (Danita), Amy Rich and their families, as well as his mother-in-law, Gayle Turner.
Thaes was an only child and adored his parents; Thaes Webb (Dora) and Helen Kathryn Heglund (Harry). He often said that “he was the luckiest guy in the world having two of the best mothers anyone could have” and fondly reflected on his memories of them and their extended families. We are happy our Dad is now reunited with his parents and his daughter, Kay Ann Neff, grandson, Jeremy Webb, son-in-law, Nelson Neff, son-in-law Blake Mair and his father-in-law, Roy Turner.
A viewing will be held on May 3, 2023 at 10:00AM at Memorial Holladay-Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 South Highland Drive. Funeral services will be held after the viewing at 12:00PM. Interment will take place at Memorial Holladay Cemetery on 4900 South Memory Lane, Holladay, Utah 84117.Service Information
