Thelma Josephine Bradford Lomax passed away on March 17, 2010. She was born September 9, 1920 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Lionel James and Lottie Delecta Stokes Bradford. She graduated from South High School in 1937. Thelma married Dee Lomax on January 31, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were happily married for 68 years. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS temple after Dee returned from service in WWII. Together they raised four children.

Thelma was an avid quilter and made quilts for all members of the family including giving several to Primary Children's Hospital and Shriner's Hospital. She was an immaculate housekeeper who also loved her yard. Thelma loved and fed birds and stray animals.

She is survived by her husband, Dee, four children: Janet Haskins, Cindy (John) Cox, Alan (Sue) and Becky Myers; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the East Mill Creek 11th Ward, 2702 East Evergreen Avenue (3435 South). Friends and family may visit on Friday evening, March 19, 2010 at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and at the church Saturday afternoon from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm prior to services.
