Tommy Frank Leyba

August 3, 1953 — September 15, 2025

With deep sorrow and enduring love, we share the passing of Tommy Frank Leyba—a man whose generosity, humor, and boundless heart left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Tommy departed peacefully on the afternoon of September 15, 2025, surrounded by those who held him closest. Born on August 3, 1953, he lived a life defined by compassion, resilience, and a fierce devotion to family and community.

Tommy was the kind of person who showed up—whether it was a midnight phone call, a spontaneous road trip, or a backyard gathering filled with music and laughter. His voice carried through karaoke nights, his warmth through every hug, and his spirit through countless acts of kindness. He taught us to give freely, love deeply, and celebrate life in all its messy, beautiful forms.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Carmen; his father, Frank; and his older brother, Tommy. He is survived by his children, grandchildren, and extended family—including one daughter and her child, who wish to honor his memory privately. His eldest son, Samuel (Shannon), and their children Selena, Brianna, Nicholas, and Olivia; and his youngest son, Jeremy (Jessica), and their children Alexia, Liliana, Alexis, Izaiah, Emiliana, Emilie, Sammy, and Shiloh, were the lights of his life. Tommy also served as a father figure to many nieces and nephews, offering unconditional love and guidance to all who needed it.

He is lovingly remembered by his siblings: Fran (Mickey), Robert (Gloria), Vickey (William, deceased), Joann (Etimoni, deceased), Matilda, Matthew (Shirley, deceased), Beverly (Raymond), Debbie (Dave), and Jackie (Tim), along with a wide circle of extended family and friends whose lives he touched with his open heart and generous spirit.

In his final days, Tommy found peace in reflection and connection. While his personal beliefs were his own, his life was a testament to the values shared across many traditions—kindness, humility, and love. We honor his journey without presumption, trusting that wherever he is now, he is free from pain and surrounded by joy.

Tommy’s memory lives on in the laughter of family reunions, the songs sung around the table, and the quiet gestures of care we offer in his name. In lieu of flowers, we invite those who knew him to carry forward his legacy: lend a hand, sing with abandon, and make someone feel truly seen.

Rest well, Dad. Your love remains our compass, your spirit our shelter.
