Towler "Marvin" Edman

Born June 19, 1936 in Salt Lake City to Wilf and Erma Edman.  He was the oldest of seven children.  Passed away at his home December 8, 2016 at the age of 80.  Graduated from South High School after which he married his high school sweetheart, Marilyn Viola Persson on April 19, 1957 in the Salt Lake Temple.  They became the parents of four children.

Marv spent his life working to create the successful U and I Kirby Company with his father and brothers. He later became the President of that company.  Through the years it gave him the opportunity to travel the world and touch many lives.

Marv was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many callings.  Those included High Priest Group leadership, High Counselor and two bishoprics.  He spent his life serving others and was always willing to help anyone in need.  He took great pride in his yard and his cars.  He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.

Survived by his wife, Marilyn and children:  Paul (Fonda), Vicky (Dave) Case, Darren (Jill), and Todd (Kim). Seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren and two more arriving this coming year.  Two brothers and two sisters.  He is proceeded in death by his parents, a brother and sister.

Funeral services will be held Thursday December 15, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Valley View Stake Center, 2250 East 3900 South.  Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6 – 8pm or Thursday morning from 9:30 to 10:30am at the same location.  Internment at the Lake Hills Cemetery, Sandy, Utah.  Messages and tributes can be posted for the family at: www.HolbrookMortuary.com.
