Tucky "Uilaafi" Lueli Gisa

Tucky “Uilaafi” Lueli Gisa passed away unexpectedly on May 17, 2026.

Born on August 23, 1965, in Faleniu, American Samoa, Uila was the daughter of Lueli Gisa and Iva Fa’alafua. Before her birth, her father passed away in a motorcycle accident. She was lovingly raised by her paternal grandmother, Leuiga Gisa, who gave her the name “Uilaafi.”

Uila was raised alongside cousins who became like siblings and was later raised by her Uncle Taumaloto and Aunty Sese Te’o after the passing of her grandmother.

Uila was a dedicated employee and was respected by coworkers who became close friends. She was known for always speaking her mind, treating strangers like family, and being Newport’s #1 customer.

Above all else, Uila cherished her family. She created lasting bonds with relatives and friends, and touched countless lives through her sense of humor, generosity, and quick wit.

Uila is survived by her beloved family and many extended relatives and friends who will deeply miss her.

Funeral services will be held on June 4th, 2026, at Memorial on 6500 Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT. Interment will follow at Memorial Redwood Mortuary.
