Velma “Louise” Dugat Bingham passed away peacefully at her home in Cottonwood Heights, Utah on February 12, 2026 at the age of 89. She was born January 8, 1937 in Corpus Christie, Texas to Francis Arnold Dugat and Wilber Louise Owin Dugat.
She married her beloved husband, Dean Laray Bingham on July 8th, 1955. They were later sealed in the Arizona Temple on December 19, 1955. She was a member of the Church of Latter-Day Saints. She worked for 30 years as a school secretary and was much loved by all the children and their parents whose lives she touched. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by children Patrick Dean Bingham, Karen Louise Wallace, Nancy Jeanne (Keith) Chapman, her grandchildren, Christopher Bingham, Jamie Wallace, Amber Arnovick and Adam Arnovick, and great-grandchildren Gabriel McKissick, Kayden Rogers and Serenity Bruggenthies.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Dean Laray Bingham and her son Michael Edward Bingham. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Cottonwood 8th Ward, 6301 South 2300 East Holladay, Utah 84121.
