Velva M Chandler

Velva McKinney Chandler died on February 10, 2023 in Murray, Utah.  She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on September 1, 1943 to Sara Inger Welchman and Ambrose Paul McKinney. On June 25, 1965 she married and was sealed to Dennis B. Chandler in the Salt Lake Temple.
As member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints she served as a worker in the Salt Lake Temple and various other callings throughout her life including as a missionary for special events in the Salt Lake Conference Center. Velva loved photography and travel. She traveled with Dennis and her mother on various trips. She also enjoyed sewing and hand work. She had a great love for animals. Dennis and Velva enjoyed square dancing. She loved to garden.
Surviving Velva is her husband, Dennis; sister, Venece (Dale) Walker; and brother, Claude (Ramona) McKinney. Her parents and sister, Cleoloa Berray preceded her in death.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, February 17, 2023 at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary and Cemetery, 3115 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights, Utah.
