Vera Bond was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on September 1, 1933, and peacefully passed into the arms of her Heavenly Father on September 19, 2025. At the time of her passing, she was residing in Vancouver, Washington, with her daughter Esther Harlow. Vera lived a life marked by hospitality, generosity, and unwavering strength. She had a remarkable gift for helping others, especially her family, and her presence was a source of comfort and encouragement to all who knew her. No matter the challenges she faced, Vera met them with rock-solid determination and grace. Her work motto was: "If you see something that needs to be done, just do it." This guiding principle reflected her proactive spirit and deep sense of care.
Vera was one of eight siblings and the proud mother of four children: Lydia Allen (deceased), Anthony Salazar (deceased), John Salazar of West Jordan, Utah, and Esther Harlow of Vancouver, Washington. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and recently a great-great-great-grandchild. Her legacy lives on through her family and the many lives she touched with her kindness and strength.
A memorial service will be held in her honor on Sunday, October 5, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Redwood Memorial Gardens, located at 6500 Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
