Throughout her career, Verla made significant contributions to various sectors. She worked at Univac and National Semiconductor and took pride in her roles in housekeeping and as an independent contractor for presidents Hunter, Hinckley, and Faust of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. An active and engaged member of her church community, Verla touched the lives of many through her work in the nursery, her leadership as a librarian, and her role as a teacher.
Verla's legacy continues through her three children, who are grateful for her unwavering support and love. She is also survived by one brother and one sister, who will cherish the memories of their time together.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Blaine F. Bateman, with whom she shared 25 years of marriage, and her second husband, Ferron F. Larson, who she was married to for 19 years. Also by her parents, two brothers, and two sisters, all of whom she missed dearly throughout her life.
As we remember our mom, we celebrate her remarkable contributions to her family, her career, and her faith, and we honor the compassionate spirit she brought into the lives of those who had the privilege to know her. Her commitment to serving others and her unwavering love for her family will leave a lasting impact for years to come.
Per Verlas request, a private service will be held for her children and immediate family.
