Vernon G. Brady, 80, passed away on June 7, 2007 from Alzheimers disease. He was born in Salt Lake City to Clyde W. and Eva Berrett Brady on February 1, 1927. He married Ilene Jensen in the Salt Lake Temple in 1949.
Vern was a loving husband and father, whose family adores him. He attended Granite High School where he met his eternal sweetheart, Ilene. He then attended the University of Utah and later served proudly in the United States Navy. Vern was a talented architectural designer who worked for Safeway Stores as head of the construction and design department. Many beautiful buildings, including the family home where he lived until the time of his passing were designed using his artistic talents. Vern loved nature, music, his many dear friends and most of all, his family, including his wife's family and his brothers and sister and their families. His favorite stories were of the fun times they had when they were younger. He loved family gatherings and planning fun activities for his grandchildren. He had a unique capacity to love everyone and make them feel important. He had a thirst for knowledge and a keen mind. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where he served in many callings and instilled a love of the gospel in his children.
