Virginia Burke

Virginia Burke, 97, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023, in Sandy, Utah. She was born on April 29, 1926, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Harvey and Johannah Bass. She married Allie H. Burke on September 9, 1945.

She was an avid reader and loved putting puzzles together. She crocheted a lot of Afghan blankets. She raised 5 children.

She is survived by JoAnne Buck, Tim and Rosemary Burke, Nancy Payton, David and Sandra Burke, and Rudy and Kerrie Burke. As well as 12 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Allie Burke, her parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on November 25, 2023, at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary and Cemetery, 3115 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights, Utah 84121. A short viewing will be held an hour prior to the service.
