Virginia Dilworth

June 13, 1949 — June 4, 2026

With profound sadness and immense love, we announce the passing of Virginia Dilworth, who peacefully left this world on June 4, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family.

Virginia was born on June 13, 1949, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Andreas Gallegos and Evangeline Neria. She later married Donald J. Dilworth, with whom she shared many years of life, love, and family.

To know Virginia was to know kindness, warmth, and unconditional love. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome. Her home was often the gathering place where family came together, laughter filled the rooms, and memories were made around the table. Nothing brought her greater joy than being surrounded by the people she loved.

Virginia was a devoted wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. While she enjoyed gardening, crafting, camping, music, and dancing, her greatest passion was her family. Her grandchildren held a special place in h er heart. She celebrated their accomplishments, comforted them through life’s challenges, and loved each of them fiercely and completely. They were among her greatest blessings, and the love she poured into their lives will continue to shape them for generations to come.

Virginia’s legacy is not found in possessions or accomplishments, but in the countless lives she touched through her compassion, generosity, and unwavering love. She taught her family the importance of togetherness, loyalty, resilience, and showing up for one another. Her gentle spirit, caring heart, and beautiful smile will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her beloved mother, Evangline Benavidez; her husband Donald Dilworth; her children, Willie and Brittany Alire; her siblings Linda Garcia, Junior Gallegos, Teresa Gallegos, Carmen Lopez, Orlando Benavidez, Mark Benavidez, Dave Neria and Terry Neria Tony, Lopez, Jody Lopez; along with many grandchildren, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by John Benavidez, Conrad Neria, and Fred Neria.

Though our hearts are broken by her absence, we find comfort in knowing that the love she gave so freely remains with us. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and her love a gift that will never fade.

Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever missed.
