Voi Apinati Sauvao Tunuufi, 23, of South Jordan, Utah, passed away on May 4, 2026. He was born on January 6, 2003, at the University of Utah Hospital and grew up in West Valley City before moving to South Jordan with his family.
Voi was the beloved son of Lauama and Alofa Tunuufi and the only brother to five sisters, who affectionately called him "the princess." He loved football, video games, and his sleep, and was known for his joyful personality and contagious laugh.
A talented athlete, Voi began playing football at age 7 and went on to play for East High School as a top 3-star recruit. He later joined the University of Washington, winning the final PAC-12 Championship, the Alamo Bowl, and the Sugar Bowl, and participating in the National Championship. He was widely respected for both his athletic ability and his kindness.
Voi is survived by his parents; sisters Leone, Sanita, Christina, Makayla, and Angela; two brothers-in-law; and five nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
