Wallace Evans Stees (Wally)

Nov 30, 1925 — Oct 20, 2026

West Jordan

Together again at last!

Wally returned to his Heavenly Father and to be with his life-long sweetheart, Florain, on October 20, 2026, just six weeks before his 101st birthday.

He was raised as an only child by his widowed mother, from the time he was 3 years old. Wally had a special grandfather whom he loved deeply and spent summers with, in Nephi, Utah. He was Wally’s only father figure.

He attended South High School before serving his country in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He served honorably and received many commendations. He was honored in 2025 at the Centenarian Celebration at the Utah State Capital.

Wally met and married Florain Lindquist June 9, 1947; they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple in 1961. Together they raised four daughters.

Wally worked many years at Eimco Corporation and Structural Steel as a steel fabricator and later at Affiliated Metals as an estimator.

He held many positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a faithful member. He loved Big Band music and traveling up and down the Oregon Coast with his family which he did for many summers, instilling a love for the coast in his daughters and grandchildren.

Wally is survived by his four daughters: Linda Joy Pieri (Rick), Marietta, Georgia; Tiffeny Ann Stees (Jay), Boise, Idaho; Sandra Larsen (Roger), Salt Lake City; Barbara Ann Wilkinson (Dale), Salt Lake City; as well as four granddaughters, one grandson, fourteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the special CNAs, and the entire staff at Sunridge Assisted Living Center for their endless love and devotion, especially in those last, very difficult days of Wally’s life. Also, a deep love and appreciation for Ann, his loving BFF for her endless love and care.
