On February 27th Wallace D. Stevens passed away at home with his daughter Terry, son-in-law Mike, and granddaughter Mikayla at his side. Wallace was born in Alberta, Canada on May 22, 1928; Adopted by Harold and Ruth Olsen. His parents Harold and Ruth changed his birthday to April 15, 1928; Why? We do not know. He had one sister, Inez Cooper who has also passed on.
Wallace served in the Marine Corps and later was honorably discharged. He worked at Kennecott for 25 years and was married to his wife Eva for over 50 years. Eva and Wallace are now rejoined together also with one of their sons who they had lost to cancer. They have six children, 13 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren maybe more. Wallace has lived with his daughter Terry and her family for the past 4 years leaving behind his pride and joy Foxy and Tinkerbell his two dogs, these were his babies.
Dad, we love you and will miss you.
Graveside services will be held Monday, March 3, 2014 at 2:00pm at the Redwood Memorial Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road.
