September 21, 1952 — April 5, 2024

Walter Ellis Anderson, age 71, passed away on April 5th, 2024, in West Valley City, Utah. Born on September 21st, 1952, in Salt Lake City, Utah to William and Fern Anderson, Walter brought joy and warmth to all who knew him. He dedicated his life in service to his country, serving honorably in the Air Force for 4 years before embarking on a distinguished career spanning 39 years at Meadow Gold.

Family meant everything to Walter. He married the love of his life, Georgia K. Hemenway, on May 12th, 1973. He was a devoted father to his children, Heather and Chad, as well as his son-in-law, Robert. He also took immense pride in his role as a grandfather. Creating cherished memories that will be treasured for generations, he often enjoyed sharing root beer floats with his grandchildren while watching Disney movies.

Walter's life was a testament to love, loyalty, and adventure. He enjoyed the outdoors, spending many evenings camping with his son, Chad, his best friend of 57 years, Joe Snyder, and his beloved dogs. An avid creator, Walter loved working in the garage building projects and was always willing to help or build anything others needed. Walter was always taking pictures. He especially loved traveling and taking pictures with his family while on Disney trips or visits to Air Force Base Museums.

As we bid farewell to Walter, let us honor his memory by embracing the values he held dear: love, kindness, and the pursuit of adventure. In the words of Spock, from his beloved Star Trek series, "Live Long and Prosper." Walter's legacy will continue to inspire and guide us, reminding us to cherish each moment and boldly explore the unknown.

He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his wife, Georgia Anderson, his children, Heather (Robert) Stevens and Chad Anderson, and his grandkids, Kaitlyn, Kelsey, Kade, and Kennedy Stevens.
