Walter E. Clark Walter E. Clark, age 86, died December 11, 2023, in Holladay, Utah. Born June 26, 1937 to Mary Grant and Elwood Sessions Clark. he graduated from Davis High School in 1955 and fulfilled an LDS mission in Germany from 1957-1960.

He attended the University of Utah, majoring in English and German, serving in the Air Force ROTC, the debate team, student senate, and on the Union Board. Upon graduation in 1963, he went to work for U.S. Steel in Denver, Colorado.

Walter married Helen Kathryn Osterloh on December 22, 1960 in the Salt Lake Temple. He is a proud father of one son and five daughters. He spent 19 years in the restaurant business with his brother-in-law, Fredrick W. Osterloh operating Fred’s Burger Chalets, Fred’s Family Restaurant, and Su Casa Mexican Restaurants. After working eight years as a food broker, he spent 15 years representing Albert Uster Imports, an importer of fine Swiss chocolate.

He was an accomplished pianist, an avid painter of landscapes, and the author of numerous faith-based poems. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving 71 years in various positions, serving seven years as a German speaking guide on Temple Square and Bishop of the Cottonwood 10th Ward 2002 - 2007.

He is survived by his children John Walter Clark (Juan), Shauna Kathryn Clark, Carolyn Magleby (Stan), Susan Stanger (Tracy), Jessie Clark, (Eddie), Angela McFarland (Adam), 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held December 19th at the Cottonwood 10th Ward at 1750 Spring Lane, Holladay, Utah at 11:00 a.m. A family gathering will be held at 10:45 in the Relief Society Room at the Ward prior to the services. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park at 3401 S. Highland Drive, Holladay, Utah.
