Wanda Ardell Chantry Jordan

September 26, 1933 — February 9, 2023

Wanda was born September 26, 1933 in San Bernardino, CA. She was the third child of Joseph Eldon Chantry and Eva Ardell Farnworth Chantry. She had four brothers Donald Eldon Chantry, Gene Earl Chantry, Jerry Lynn Jackson, Richard Eldon Jackson and one sister, Eva Louise Jackson Watson.
As a child, Wanda attended elementary school in the Salt Lake City area. She went to Orem Utah Jr. High in Salem, UT and high school in Ontario, CA.
Wanda worked at several jobs, namely Arrow Creamery, J.J. Newberry, Douglas and Northrup Aircraft Companies, G.E. Flat Iron plant, Smart Lady Coat Factory, 1st National Bank, and others.
Wanda met her sailor sweetheart, Richard LeRoy (Jody) Jordan in Compton, CA. They were married in Yuma, AZ, September 26, 1954, on her 21st birthday. Later their marriage was solemnized in the Los Angelas Temple of the Latter-Day Saint Church on June 28, 1958.
Richard and Wanda were blessed with four children, Cindy Ann, Suzan Kay, Perry Wade, and Tammy Lee.
The family lived 12 years in Ontario and Upland, CA. before they moved to McCook, NE. where they lived 13 years. When the children grew up, within a short time there were two weddings, one left for a mission in Japan and the other one was in collage here in Utah.
From a teenage years up, Wanda held many positions in the Latter-Day Saint church. The one position she loved the most was working in the Jordan River Temple where she served for 14 years.
Wanda was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ.
Wanda loved many kinds of hand work, sewing wedding and bridesmaid gowns was her delight. She loved crocheting, making all kinds of dolls. She especially enjoyed sharing her talents with others.
Wanda was proceeded in death by her husband, Richard (Jody) Jordan was well as her parents, and two brothers. Surviving children are Cindy Ann Hardin, Suzan Kay Bolingbroke, Perry Wade Jordan, Tammy Lee Robinson, 16 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, a sister and two brothers.
