Wanda Fae Amos Milne

Wanda Fae Amos Milne (88) left this mortal existence on January 5, 2023 to join her beloved husband, Gordon, who preceded her by 15 months, just after celebrating their 66th wedding anniversary.  She was born in Maysville, Oklahoma, the third of four children of Cole and Pernie Mae Amos.  At age four, she and her siblings traveled with their mother by bus from Oklahoma to Ogden, Utah with one trunk to carry all their possessions.  Her single mother’s work ethic, love and unselfishness influenced her throughout life.  She was a graduate of Ogden High School.  After short time at Weber State College, she began work at Hill Air Force Base to help support her mother.  There she met Gordon, the love of her life.  They made their home in Bountiful, Utah for 43 years, Cedar Hills for 23 years and Mapleton for the past year.  Her life was filled with service to family, church and community, and tolerance of her husband’s golfing passion.  She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She was a loving and unselfish wife and mother, always thinking of others. She enjoyed a wonderful relationship with her mother and siblings.  Surviving Wanda are her brother, Jake Amos, sister Reba Allen (Charlie), brother Jim Amos (Faye), son, Corey Milne (Carol) and daughter, Shelly Thacker (Bryce), step daughter, Charlene Petersen (Larry), 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
On Saturday, January 21, at Cedar Hills 10th Ward building, 9737 Chesterfield Drive, Cedar Hills, Utah, a viewing will be held from 9:30-10:15 am, funeral service at 10:30 am followed by a family luncheon at 11:30 am.  Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm at Memorial Lakeview Cemetery mausoleum at the southwest corner at 1640 Lakeview Drive, Bountiful, Utah.
