Wanda June Wright, age 77, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, at her home in West Valley City, Utah.
Wanda was born on March 17, 1948, in Wichita, Kansas, to Ellis Ray Oneslager Sr. and Kathrine Anna Jason Oneslager. From an early age, Wanda’s life was centered around love, family, and caring for others—values she carried with her throughout her life.
On May 15, 1964, she married the love of her life, John T. Wright, and together they built a family filled with laughter, strength, and deep bonds. Though her heart was broken when John passed away on May 6, 1999, Wanda continued forward with grace and resilience. She later found companionship and happiness again when she married Clifford Samuel Wright (Sam) on January 10, 2004, who remained by her side with unwavering love.
Wanda’s greatest joy was her family. Nothing made her happier than being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She treasured family gatherings, shared stories, and simple moments together. Her love was constant, her support unconditional, and her presence comforting. To know Wanda was to feel loved.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Clifford Samuel Wright (Sam); her sister, Wilma Knowls; and her beloved daughters: Anna (Ron) Ortiz, Chris (Bob) Owens, and Ronda (Pat) Montoya. She also leaves behind a cherished extended family of stepchildren, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom were a source of immense pride and joy.
Wanda was preceded in death by her son, John T. Wright Jr.; her parents; three brothers; and two sisters. Though she is no longer with us, her love, kindness, and the memories she created will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved her.
Viewing and funeral services will be held on January 26, 2026, at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, located at 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. The viewing will take place from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 12:00 PM.
Wanda will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered—always.
