Wayne Robert Kotter

Wayne Robert Kotter passed away on August 12, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on August 1, 1938, in Mt. Pleasant, Utah, Wayne’s life spanned nearly nine decades marked by devotion to his loved ones. Some of Wayne’s most notable events in his life were serving an LDS mission in Southern Australia, obtaining his medical degree from the California College of Podiatric Medicine, and running a successful medical practice for 40 years. However, he would say his biggest accomplishment was marrying Faye Carlson Kotter on September 6, 1963 and going on to have four children who he loved deeply.

Wayne loved fishing, golfing, playing cards, Super Bowl Sundays, hanging out with friends and family and serving in his church.

Wayne was the oldest son of Robert and Norma Kotter, both of whom preceded him in death. He is also reunited with his beloved wife, Faye Carlson Kotter; his son, Michael Wayne Kotter; his brother, Fred; and his sisters, Karol and Luann.

Wayne leaves behind a loving family who meant the world to him. Surviving him are his sons, Paul (Jen) Kotter, Thomas (Angela) Kotter; His daughter, Amy (Dan) Swensen; along with 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren whom he loved and adored.

A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Wayne on Monday, August 24, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Memorial Holladay-Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 S Highland Dr, Holladay, UT 84117. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Wayne are invited to come together to celebrate his memory, share stories, and find comfort in the community he helped strengthen.

Wayne will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of sharing in his remarkable life.
