Wendell Sparks Burnham passed away December 8, 2022 in St. George, Utah at the age of 87 with his brother, Waldo at his side. Wendell was a very quiet, humble and gentle man. He was born April 27, 1935 in St. Joseph Missouri to Luther Asael and Mary Ruby Sparks Burnham.
Wendell was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He lived most of his life in South Salt Lake City, Utah, attending the Haven Ward in the South Salt Lake Stake.
He graduated from Granite High School in 1953. He was released early from a two-year mission for the Church on September 30, 1957 as a result of an auto accident. A head-on collision in Kentucky resulted in a very serious brain injury, which left him partially handicapped for the remainder of his life.
Wendell worked for Deseret Industries for 33 years in Murray, Utah. He loved music, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Church history, and American history.
Wendell was blessed with a beautiful voice and sang in the Granite High School A capel1a choir. He also sang solos at funerals and other engagements. He loved family and helped his father and mother in their final years, and he was helped by his brothers in his final years. Many tears of joy and sorrow were shed at his passing by loved ones for this wonderful man.

Wendell is survived by his brothers, LaVell Burnham, Lubbock, Texas and Waldo Burnham (Joan), St. George, Utah.
